SARNIA, Ont. - Charlie Sarault had a goal and three assists to help the Sarnia Sting defeat the visiting Peterborough Petes 4-2 Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.
Nail Yakupov returned to the lineup after missing seven games with an injury and had a goal and an assist for the Sting (18-9-5), while Brett Thompson also added a goal and an assist. Taylor Carnevale scored the other goal.
Dylan Fitze had a goal and an assist for the Petes (14-13-5) and Stephen Pierog scored the other.
Brandon Maxwell made 36 saved for the win while Andrew D'Agostini allowed four goals on 12 shots before being replaced by Mike Morrison in the second period. Morrison stopped all 11 shots he faced in relief.
The Sting scored three times on four power-play chances in the second period and finished the game 3-for-9. Peterborough struggled going 0-for-6 with the man advantage.
