The San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights will play Game 7 of the Western Conference First Round at San Jose on Tuesday (10 p.m. ET; NBCSN, SN, SN360, TVAS, NBCSCA, ATTSN-RM).

San Jose won Game 6 2-1 in double overtime at Vegas to tie the best-of-7 series.

It will be the 11th Game 7 for the Sharks in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the first for the Golden Knights, who did not play one in their inaugural season when they reached the 2018 Stanley Cup Final.

"We're playing good hockey," Vegas coach Gerard Gallant said. "It's two tough teams. We're ready to go. We'll be ready to go, and it'll be another battle."

San Jose, which is 6-4 in Game 7, won its most recent, 5-0 against the Nashville Predators in the second round in 2016. The Sharks are 3-1 at home in Game 7.

"Guys will be ready," San Jose captain Joe Pavelski said. "We like being on home ice for Game 7, but there's a lot of work, a lot of effort that will need to go into it."

Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has played in six Game 7s, including the 2009 Stanley Cup Final (a 2-1 win for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Detroit Red Wings). Sharks goalie Martin Jones won his only Game 7 start (2016 second round, 5-0 against the Nashville Predators).

Joe Thornton leads the Sharks with six Game 7s, and Pavelski has played five. Paul Stastny has the most experience for the Golden Knights, having played four. No other player on Vegas has played more than one.

Sharks coach Peter DeBoer is 2-0 in Game 7. Gallant has never coached in one.

"It's a Game 7. I don't think it'll be quite as fast as the first couple of periods in [Game 6], but I think it'll be two teams grinding it out, trying to advance," Gallant said.
