Wild to host coat drive at Tuesday's game to benefit the Salvation Army

ST. PAUL --The Minnesota Wild announced today it will host a coat drive to benefit the Salvation Army on Tuesday, Dec. 11 when it hosts the Montreal Canadiens at 7 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM. Coats will be collected at Gates 1-5 from 5:15 p.m. until midway through the first period.

The Salvation Army needs donations of new and gently-used winter coats for children and adults. With a long winter ahead, these donations will be critical for individuals and families who cannot afford adequate winter wear.
Minnesota Wild defenseman Greg Pateryn will deliver the coats that are collected at the coat drive to the Salvation Army on Monday, Dec. 17 following practice. The Salvation Army will then distribute these items in the Twin Cities at their many shelters and service centers throughout the winter.
The Salvation Army is a faith-based nonprofit that provides life-changing services for thousands of people and families in the Twin Cities. We serve about 1,075 hot meals every day and shelter nearly 350 people every night.
