Saip, Ranford and Bubnick each score twice as Kamloops beats Kelowna 6-4 @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Linden Saip, Brendan Ranford and Jimmy Bubnick each had a pair of goals to lift the Kamloops Blazers to a 6-4 Western Hockey League victory over the Kelowna Rockets on Friday night.

Goaltender Jon Groenheyde stopped 17 shots for Kamloops (18-20-5).

Lucas Bloodoff scored twice for Kelowna (19-23-2), while Brett Bulmer and Antoine Corbin added singles.

Adam Brown of the Rockets turned aside 13 of 17 before being replaced by Mark Guggenberger to start the second period. Guggenberger made 21 saves.

The victory lifted the Blazers into seventh place in the Western Conference, one point ahead of the Rockets. The teams meet again Saturday night in Kelowna.
