Saginaw stretches unbeaten streak to six with 6-3 win over Plymouth @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - The red hot Saginaw Spirit stretched their season high winning streak to five games with a 6-3 win over Plymouth on Saturday, sweeping their home-and-home series with the Whalers.

Spirit forward Jack Combs had his second straight four-point game, scoring twice while adding a pair of assists. Chris Chappell tallied twice, Tomas Zaborsky had a goal and two assists and Jordan Szwarz scored once to round out the scoring for Saginaw (16-14-3-1), which scored four times with the man advantage.

Vern Cooper, Patrick Lee and Chris Terry scored for Plymouth (19-11-2-2).

Edward Pasquale won for the second time in as many tries since being acquired from the Belleville Bulls, stopping 28 shots for the Spirit. Matt Hackett and Kyle Jendra combined to turn away 25 shots for the Whalers.
