Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta had minor surgery and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, coach Ted Nolan said.
The Sabres revealed the news Monday via Twitter and did not specify the nature of the surgery Kaleta will have. He missed the Sabres' 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday with a lower-body injury.
Kaleta, a nine-year NHL veteran, had three assists and 32 penalty minutes in 33 games this season. He has 27 goals, 54 points and 538 penalty minutes in 339 games with the Sabres.
