BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Center Tim Connolly feels ready to play, and he's not the only injured Buffalo Sabres top-line forward ready to return for the start of the playoffs.
Connolly and forward Jochen Hecht both practiced on Tuesday, two days before the Sabres host Boston in Game 1 of a first-round series. Connolly says he "felt good" after missing nine games with a foot injury.
Hecht practiced for the first time after missing three games with what the team is calling an upper body injury.
Right wing Drew Stafford skated on his own after practice, which marked the first time he's been on the ice since sustaining a concussion in a 5-2 win at Ottawa on Saturday.
Coach Lindy Ruff said it's possible all three could be ready to play Thursday.
