Sabres assign goalie Lieuwen to Rochester of AHL @NHL

The Buffalo Sabres assigned goaltender Nathan Lieuwen to Rochester of the American Hockey League, the team announced Sunday.

Lieuwen dressed as the backup to Jhonas Enroth for Buffalo's 2-1 win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday. He was recalled from Rochester after Michal Neuvirth sustained a lower-body injury in the Sabres' 4-1 win against the San Jose Sharks on Nov. 18.

Lieuwen is 3-4-0 with a 3.53 goals-against average and a .876 save percentage in 10 games with Rochester.
