Saad (four points) leads Blue Jackets past Predators @NHLdotcom

Brandon Saad had two goals and two assists for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 5-2 preseason win against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday.

Linemate Ryan Johansen had a goal and two assists, and Nick Foligno had a goal and an assist.

Nashville took a 1-0 lead on a shorthanded goal by Austin Watson 9:03 into the game.

Columbus scored the next five goals; Scott Hartnell gave the Blue Jackets a 4-1 lead 45 seconds into the third period.

Barret Jackman scored for the Predators, who lost in regulation for the first time in five preseason games (3-1-1). Pekka Rinne made 12 saves, and Carter Hutton allowed three goals on five shots.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 35 saves for Columbus (3-2-1).
