WINDSOR, Ont. - Kerby Rychel scored his 37th and 38th goals of the season and as the Windsor Spitfires defeated the visiting Sarnia Sting 7-5 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey league action.
Michael Clarke scored once and set up three more for the Spitfires (28-30-7), who sit seventh in the Western Conference, while Stephen Alonge, Zack MacQueen, Brady Vail and Ben Johnson scored the others.
Charles Sarault paced the Sting (33-25-7) offensively with two goals and two assists as Reid Boucher, Connor Murphy and Ludvig Rensfeldt added a goal apiece.
Jaroslav Pavelka made 25 saves for the win as Brandon Hope allowed five goals on 26 shots before being replaced by J.P. Anderson early in the third period
Anderson stopped nine of 10 shots in relief.
Windsor failed to score with their only power-play chance while Sarnia went 2 for 4.
