Ryan Spooner has goal, two assists as Petes defeat Colts 5-2

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Ryan Spooner had a goal and two assists as the Peterborough Petes beat the Barrie Colts 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

Sergey Korostin, Tony Romano and Brett Theberge had a goal and assist each for the Petes (25-32-1-2) who rallied from an early 2-0 deficit.

Justin Larson also scored as the Petes drew within one point of the Sudbury Wolves and Oshawa Generals for the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Taylor Carnevale and Josh Brittain scored for the Colts (27-19-3-1).

Petes netminder Ryan Daniels made 34 saves for the win while Michael Hutchinson stopped 28 shots for Barrie.
