Ryan Rupert's hat trick powers London Knights past Sudbury Wolves 8-2 @NHLdotcom

LONDON, Ont. - Ryan Rupert's first hat trick in the Ontario Hockey League helped the London Knights to an 8-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves on Friday.

Dane Fox scored twice for London (3-0-0) including on a penalty shot. Seth Griffith, Bo Horvat, and Max Domi also found the back of the net.

Mathew Campagna and Michael Sgarbossa both scored for Sudbury (0-3-0). Rupert added an assist.

London goalie Michael Houser in the first period.

Fox scored on his penalty shot to make it 6-2 at 13:34 of the third and had scored what would be the game winner on a wraparound in the second period.

Sudbury lead the game 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Current Canadian Hockey League goalie of the week Michael Houser had his goals against average inch slightly up to 0.97. He made 31 saves to earn the win.

Sudbury goalie Brendan O'Neill, who is actually a London minor hockey grad, stopped just 28 of 36 shots.

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Josh Leivo and former Knight Michael MacDonald are on the mend for Sudbury.

London announced pre-game that Montreal Canadiens prospect Jarred Tinordi will be the captain this season.
