Ryan McDonough and Tyler Murovich lead Saginaw over Oshawa 6-4 @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Ryan McDonough had a hat trick as part of a four point night and Tyler Murovich scored twice to pace the Saginaw Spirit to a 6-4 victory over the Oshawa Generals in OHL action Saturday night.

With the win the Spirit beat three of the top teams in the league in as many games, with victories over the Brampton Battalion on Thursday night and the London Knights on Friday that clinched a third straight playoff berth.

Chris Chappell got the other goal for the Spirit.

Brett MacLean and Brett Parnham each had a goal and an assist for the Generals (36-15-2-4). Michael Del Zotto and Dale Mitchell also counted for Oshawa.

Saginaw (29-23-4-2) scored twice before the the two minute mark in the first period only to see Oshawa come back for three straight before the Spirit took control with three unanswered goals of their own, over the final two periods.

Edward Pasquale stopped 29 of 33 shots for Saginaw and Daryl Borden also registered 29 saves.
