McDonough return to tampa

Ryan McDonagh received a warm welcome back to Tampa on Thursday.

The Nashville Predators defenseman was honored with a special video tribute by the Tampa Bay Lightning in his first time back at Amalie Arena since being traded to the Predators on July 3.
The video featured highlights from McDonagh's time as a member of the Lightning.

McDonagh, who did not suit up for the game because of an upper-body injury, waved to the crowd while Lightning fans gave him a standing ovation and players tapped their sticks on the ice.

The Predators posted a picture of McDonagh's dad taking a video of the ovation. Nashville is currently on its dads' road trip.

McDonagh played 267 games over five seasons with Tampa Bay. He helped the Lightning win back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 2020 and 2021.
