Ryan Howse scores in Prince George return as Bruins top Cougars 4-2 @NHLdotcom

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Prince George minor hockey product Ryan Howse had a strong night in his return to a familiar building, recording a goal and an assist as the Chilliwack Bruins defeated the Cougars 4-2 in WHL action Wednesday.

Howse opened the scoring in the second period, spurring a three-goal outburst by the Bruins. Jaden Potter and Randy McNaught gave Chilliwack a 3-0 lead before Parker Stanfield got the Cougars on the scoreboard.

Stanfield added his second of the night on a third-period power play to bring the Cougars within a goal, but Bruins forward Liam Darragh scored his first of the season with 1:46 to play.

Real Cyr stopped 34 shots for the Cougars (15-39-1-3).

Matt Esposito faced 41 shots for the Bruins (25-24-3-4).
