Rutowski with three points to lift the Winterhakws over the Silvertips 7-3 @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - The Portland Winterhawks had six player's with multi-point games as they downed the Everett Silvertips 7-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Troy Rutkowski led the Winterhawks (14-7-2) with two goals and an assist while Ty Rattie, Brad Ross, Taylor Leier, Dillon Wagner and Derrick Pouliot added singles.

Nick Walters, Brennan Yadlowski and JT Barnett each scored for the Silvertips (5-15-3).

Mac Carruth made 33 saves for the win as Kent Simpson stopped 41 shots in defeat.

Both teams were productive on the power play as Portland went 3-for 6 while Everett scored twice on six opportunities with the man advantage.
