SPOKANE, Wash. - David Rutherford and Drayson Bowman scored third-period goals as the Spokane Chiefs came back to beat the Kelowna Rockets 2-1 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.
Judd Blackwater assisted on both Spokane goals. The Chiefs trail the Tri-City Americans for top spot in the U.S. Division and the Western Conference. Spokane has a game in hand.
Colin Long scored a first-period power-play goal for the Rockets, who are fourth in the Western Conference.
Kevin Armstrong made 27 saves for the Chiefs (41-13-1-5), while Torrie Jung stopped 26 shots for the Rockets (33-19-2-6).
