Russia bolsters lineup with Malkin, Gonchar @NHLdotcom
Pittsburgh Penguins stars Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar are en route to Germany to join the Russian national team currently competing at the World Championship tournament.

The Penguins were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs by Montreal Wednesday. Russia, the two-time defending World champion, completed the Preliminary Round with a 3-0 record and next plays Saturday against Germany in the Qualifying Round.

This will be Malkin's fourth trip to the World Championship, and the third for Gonchar.

A pair of Canucks will also join their respective nations in the tournament. The Germans are adding defenseman Christian Ehrhoff, and forward Mason Raymond will play for Canada.

Canada will also add a couple of Oilers -- goaltender Devan Dubnyk and prospect Jordan Eberle.
