Russia beats QMJHL in Game 2 of Super Series @NHLdotcom
Nikita Kucherov had a goal in regulation and another in the shootout as Russia overcame three goals by Matthew Bissonnette to defeat the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League All-Stars 5-4 in the Super Series on Wednesday.

The Russian improved to 2-0 in the six-game series after blanking the QMJHL 2-0 in the opener on Monday.

Nikita Gusev, Mikhail Grigorenko and Emil Galimov also scored in regulation for Russia, while captain Daniil Apalkov had the winning goal in the shootout. Charles Hudon also scored for the QMJHL team
Kucherov, drafted in the second round (No. 58) by Tampa Bay in the 2011 NHL Draft, scored 55 seconds into the game,  beating QMJHL goaltender Louis Domingue with a shot just over his glove. Bissonnette tied it at 2:01 of the second with a wrister from the circle past goaltender Pavel Suchkov.

Less than four minutes later, Hudon put home his own rebound to put Team QMJHL up 2-1.

Galimov and Grigorenko scored midway through the third period to put Russia up 3-2. Bissonnette tied it at 3-3 with his second goal of the game, but Gusev scored at 12:39 to give the Russians the lead for the third time. Bissonnette completed his hat trick by scoring with 15 seconds left to force a shootout.
The line of Gusev, Grigorenko and Kucherov combined for eight points for the Russians.

The Super Series continues Thursday in Ottawa with the Russians taking on an all-star team from the Ontario Hockey League.
