DALLAS - Antoine Roussel scored the tiebreaking goal late in the second period, leading the Dallas Stars to a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night.

Mattias Janmark had tied the scored at 1-1 for Dallas with 5:54 remaining in the second. Jamie Benn added his NHL-leading 20th goal into an empty net with 53 seconds remaining, and Antti Niemi finished with 19 saves.

Another rookie, Janmark, tied the game on the Stars' 27th shot. Jason Spezza passed from behind the net to Janmark in the left faceoff circle. His shot deflected off Philadelphia's Wayne Simmonds and past Neuvirth.

Just 3:22 later, Roussel took the rebound of a shot by Cody Eakin and wristed a shot through a pileup to give Dallas a 2-1 lead.
