Logan Cooley, an A-rated skater on NHL Central Scouting's players to watch list for the 2022 NHL Draft, was among the 44 United States-born players named to participate in the 2022 BioSteel All-American Game to be held at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan, on Jan. 17.

Players selected are eligible for the 2022 draft, to be held Bell Centre in Montreal on July 7-8, and were picked by USA Hockey in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting.
"I think it's a great event and a chance for the scouts to come see all the top American-born prospects in one building and certainly something we're excited about," USA Hockey National Team Development Program Under-18 Team coach Adam Nightingale said.
Cooley (5-foot-10, 174 pounds), a 17-year-old center, is third on the NTDP U-18 team with 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists) in 20 games. Committed to play at Notre Dame next season, Cooley currently is playing for the United States at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship.
"Logan Cooley attacks with speed," NHL Central Scouting director Dan Marr told the 'NHL Draft Class' podcast. "He's the guy that can lead the rush, do those end-to-end highlight-reel plays. But he's got some very good hockey sense so all he does is go out there, generate chances and competes hard."
Cooley is one five A-rated players selected to play in the game, along with NTDP teammates forwards Cutter Gauthier and Frank Nazar and Isaac Howard, and defenseman Ryan Chesley.
Howard (5-10, 182) leads the NTDP U-18 team with 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists) in 27 games. Nazar (5-10, 175) is fourth with 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 27 games. Gauthier (6-2, 189) is fifth with 27 points (16 goals, 11 assists) in 27 games. Chesley (6-0, 187) has scored five points (two goals, three assists) and is a plus-15 in 26 games.
Coaches for the game will be announced at a later date.
