Ross scores two goals to lead the Spirit to a 7-6 victory over the Generals @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Two goals from Garret Ross helped the Saginaw Spirit to a 7-6 victory over the Oshawa Generals at the General Motors Centre Sunday night.

Also scoring for the Spirit (5-8-0) were Nick Moutrey, John McFarland, Brandon Saad, Michael Fine and Anthony Camara.

Oshawa (6-6-2) got goals came from Christian Thomas, Boone Jenner, Nick Quinn, Emerson Clark, Andy Andreoff and Lucas Lessio.

Jake Paterson got the call in the Spirit net and made 32 saves for the victory.

Kevin Bailie got the start for Oshawa but was yanked after allowed three goals on 19 first period shots. Dan Altshuller replaced him and made 21 stops.

Special teams were a big factor for the Spirt as they scored on four of eight power play chances and held Oshawa to just one goal on seven opportunities.
