SAGINAW, Mich. - Garret Ross scored the only goal in the shootout and the Saginaw Spirit beat the Windsor Spitfires 5-4, running their current win streak to three games in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.
Ivan Telegin had two goals and an assist for the Spirit (10-4-2) and Jordan Skellett added three assists in the win. Tyler Murovich and T. J. Brodie had a goal each.
Scott Timmons scored two goals as part of a three-point night for Windsor (13-3-3), which dropped its second in a row. Greg Nemisz also scored and OHL scoring leader Taylor Hall added a goal and two assists.
Anthony Peters made 36 saves for Saginaw and was perfect in the shootout. Troy Passingham stopped 18 shots for Windsor.
