Ross leads Portland as Winterhawks double Tri-City Americans 6-3 @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - Brad Ross had a goal and two assists to lead the Portland Winterhawks over the Tri City Americans 6-3 in Western Hockey League play on Saturday night.

Portland (41-25-3) had a balanced attack with six players scoring goals and 9 players recording at least one point. Ty Rattie, Ryan Johansen, Taylor Aronson, Luke Walker and Oliver Gabriel all chipped in.

Gabriel scored into an empty net to seal the win.

Patrick Holland scored on the power play for Tri-City (45-20-3), while Brooks Macek and Sergei Drozd also scored.

Americans goalie Alexander Pechurskiy made 26 saves, while Mac Carruth stopped 29 shots.
