MONTREAL -- There's no shortage of Old Dominion fans in the Canadiens' locker room.

Nick Suzuki, Brendan Gallagher and Jake Evans have all cited the American country music band's hit songs among their favorites.
That means the world to band member Trevor Rosen, whose passion for hockey runs deep.
The renowned songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist grew up playing the game in Michigan and participated in the annual Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.
He even earned a spot with the USHL's Des Moines Buccaneers during the 1994-95 season and helped the club win the Anderson Cup, the Clark Cup, and the USA Junior A National Tournament.
Given Montreal's incredible hockey culture, Rosen is fired up to hit the LASSO stage come August 12 at Parc Jean-Drapeau.

This will also mark Old Dominion's first-ever show in the city.
"Montreal is such a historic city. It's an Original Six city. It's been 30 years since I've been there. I always planned on going there because I was playing in the NHL, but this is a good reason to go up to Montreal, too," said Rosen with a laugh. "We can't wait. Canada has been amazing to us. Sometimes we joke around, we go 'I think we're bigger in Canada than we are in the U.S.,' so I'm really excited to connect with our Canadian fans again."
The gig has been a long time coming after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the inaugural country music festival in both 2020 and 2021.
With that in mind, Rosen and company plan on making the performance a real celebration.
"It's just going to be joy. It's going to be energy. The set is spaced out with some hits, and then we try to keep it up and keep it energetic. Our show is all about energy and having fun and having that connection with the crowd," explained Rosen. "The thing the fans will notice is we're having as much fun as they are, so we kind of feed off each other. It's going to be a party."
If any collection of supremely talented musicians can deliver the goods live, it's Old Dominion.

The band claimed Group of the Year honors at the Academy of Country Music Awards for a fifth consecutive year in March. Only Rascal Flatts (7) and Alabama (6) have won the award more often.
Admittedly, Rosen hopes a few Habs are in the crowd to enjoy the LASSO atmosphere.
He'd relish the chance to talk music and hockey.
"Every time I get to meet NHL players, we always laugh with each other because they're jealous of us. They wish they could be rock stars, and I wish I could play in the NHL," joked Rosen. "It's always cool when you hear NHL players love our music."
