Rookie Seguin set to step in for injured Bergeron @NHL

BOSTON (AP) - Tyler Seguin is ready to make his NHL playoff debut with the Boston Bruins.

The second overall pick in last year's draft is expected to play Saturday night in place of Patrice Bergeron in the opener of the Eastern Conference finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Bruins gave no update on Bergeron's condition Wednesday after he sustained a mild concussion Friday night in the finale of the conference semifinals against the Philadelphia Flyers. General manager Peter Chiarelli said Saturday it's a safe assumption Bergeron would miss one or two games. Bergeron has been one of Boston's best players in the playoffs.

Seguin had 11 goals and 11 assists in 76 regular-season games, but was a healthy scratch in all 11 playoff games.
