Roman Horak scores twice in Abbotsford Heat's 5-3 win over Lake Erie Monsters @NHLdotcom

CLEVELAND - Roman Horak struck twice as the Abbotsford Heat downed the Lake Erie Monsters 5-3 on Friday in American Hockey League play.

Brett Olson had a goal and two assists for Abbotsford (4-0-1), while Carter Bancks and T.J. Brodie also scored.

Paul Carey, Luke Walker and Mike Sgarbossa supplied the offence for Lake Erie (4-3-0).

Danny Taylor made 30 saves to earn the win, while Sami Aittokallio stopped 18 shots for the Monsters.

Horak scored the eventual winner 5:46 into the third period. Olson then put away his first goal of the season for some insurance just over seven minutes later.

Neither team had much success with the extra man. The Heat were 0-for-4 on the power play, while Lake Erie went 0-for-6.
