Sportsnet will televise "Rogers Hometown Hockey" on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, prior to the game between the Ottawa Senators and Washington Capitals. The location this week is Petawawa, Ontario, and the show will celebrate the history of hockey in the city.
Among the features airing on the pregame show:
* Sheldon Keefe's NHL career ended because of injury, but he purchased the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Canada Hockey League (a short drive from Petawawa), which has paved his way to a successful coaching career (he's now the coach of the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League).
* Trooper Marc Diab, who was stationed with the Royal Canadian Dragoons, was killed in 2009. He adopted Petawawa as his second home and wanted to open a restaurant in the area. His father made that dream come true, shortly after Diab's death, opening up the first Lebanese restaurant in Petawawa in 2010.
* A trip to a Canadian Forces base in Petawawa, to see what a day in the life of a soldier is like.
