Rockford defenceman Dustin Byfuglien named AHL player of the week @NHL

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Rockford IceHogs defenceman Dustin Byfuglien was named American Hockey League player of the week Monday after scoring a goal with five assists in four games.

Byfuglien, who also had a plus-4 rating, helped Rockford take over first place in the West Division with a 3-0-1-0 run.

The 22-year-old Chicago Blackhawks prospect tied for third among AHL defencemen with 16 goals and also added 28 assists for 44 points in 63 games for Norfolk last season.
