KELOWNA, B.C. - The Kelowna Rockets are a win away from sweeping their way into the Memorial Cup at the expense of the top-ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League.

Mark Guggenberger made 21 saves and Ryley Grantham scored the winning goal as the Rockets beat the Calgary Hitmen 2-0 Monday and took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Hockey League final.

Cody Almond added an empty-net goal for the Rockets, who can complete the sweep at home Wednesday in Game 4.

Martin Jones made 22 saves for the Hitmen. Calgary cruised into the WHL final by winning 16 straight games, but have yet to find a way to beat the Rockets, who finished 24 points behind the Hitmen in the regular-season standings.
