KELOWNA, B.C. - Colby Robak scored twice for Brandon as the Wheat Kings posted a 3-2 victory over the Kelowna Rockets in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.
Scott Glennie, with his fifth goal of the season, also scored for Brandon (8-4-1-0), who led 2-0 and 3-1 at the period breaks. Saturday's game was the first of a five-game B.C. Division road trip for the Wheat Kings that ends on November 1 in Vancouver.
Jamie Benn, with his 13th goal of the season, and Tyson Barrie, with a power-play marker late in the third period, replied for Kelowna (9-7-0-0), which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
Kris Lazaruk made 27 saves for the Rockets, while Andrew Hayes stopped 17 shots for Brandon, who visit the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday.
It was Lazaruk's first start since Oct. 17, when he got shelled in an 8-6 road loss to the Everett Silvertips. In Kelowna's three games since then, the Rockets handed the starting duties to rookie backup Adam Brown, who wound up going 3-0 with two shutouts.
