KENNEWICK, Wash. - Ty Rimmer stopped 29 of 30 shots and the Tri-City Americans remained undefeated on home ice with a 2-1 WHL victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday night.

The Americans (6-2-0) are 4-0 at home heading into a Friday matchup with the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Brendan Shinnimin scored the game-winner short-handed at 19:31 of the second, taking advantage of a wonky rebound off the stick of PA goalie Cole Holowenko.

Tri-City defenceman Mitch Topping cleared the puck down the length of the ice and Holowenko put his stick on the ice to stop the puck, but it ricochetted out front. Shinnimin picked up the loose puck and slipped it in at the right post for his first goal of the season.

Brian Williams scored a first-period power-play goal for Tri-City.

The Raiders (3-6-1) had 16 shots on goal in the third, but only found the net once when Shane Danyluk banged in a rebound at 17:51.

Holowenko finished with 37 saves, stopping all 16 Tri-City shots in the the third to keep PA in the game.
