Sheahan, Red Wings agree on two-year contract: report

Detroit forward had 14 goals, 25 points in 81 games @NHL

Center Riley Sheahan and the Detroit Red Wings agreed to terms on a two-year contract with an average annual value of $2.075 million, reported Wednesday.

Sheahan, 24, can become a restricted free agent July 1.

In 81 regular-season games, Sheahan had 14 goals and 25 points. He also had one point in five Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Selected by the Red Wings with the 21st pick of the 2010 NHL Draft, Sheahan has 36 goals and 85 points in 204 regular-season games in five seasons, all with Detroit.
