Riley Nash signs three-year contract with Blue Jackets

Forward had NHL career highs in goals, assists, points with Bruins last season

Riley Nash signed a three-year, $8.25 million contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday. It has an average annual value of $2.75 million.

The 29-year-old forward had NHL career highs in goals (15), assists (26) and points (41) in 76 games with the Boston Bruins last season. He had one assist in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games.

The Edmonton Oilers selected Nash in the first round (No. 21) of the 2007 NHL Draft. He was traded to the Bruins on June 25, 2010. Nash has 139 points (53 goals, 86 assists) in 399 NHL games with the Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes.

He has three assists in 15 playoff games.
