Brad Richards' time with the Dallas Stars is coming to an end, according to a TSN report which states the team will not make a contract offer to the center, who is due to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Richards, who turned 31 last month and figures to be the highest-profile free agent on the market, compiled 28 goals and 77 points in 72 games this past season. Since his trade from Tampa Bay to Dallas in February 2008, he had 70 goals and 227 points in 220 games.

A third-round pick by the Lightning in the 1998 Entry Draft, Richards helped the franchise to its first Stanley Cup in 2004 and won the Conn Smythe Trophy with 12 goals and 26 points. For his career, he has totals of 220 goals and 716 points in 772 regular-season games, while adding 21 goals and 62 points in 63 postseason contests.
