Ah, the Western Canada swing.
We usually get at least one of these per season, in some form, and this iteration of the four-game, nine-day trip has arrived for the Predators.
Our travel in this instance makes geographic sense as we head from east to west over the next week with stops in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, before heading back home next Tuesday. On the ice, this is a monumental trip for the Preds - a journey that could ultimately go a long way in determining what General Manager David Poile chooses to do leading up to and at the NHL Trade Deadline on Feb. 24.
Off the ice, there's plenty to see across these four Canadian cities, and over the next week, I'll do my best to give you a glimpse at life away from home in our annual installment of the Renaissance Road Warriors Blog, presented by Renaissance Hotels.
First up: the province of Manitoba and the city of Winnipeg.
