Remparts defeat Sea Dogs 4-1 as Quebec ties Saint John atop QMJHL standings @NHLdotcom

QUEBEC - Mikhail Grigorenko scored a natural hat trick Tuesday as the Quebec Remparts defeated the Saint John Sea Dogs 4-1 in a battle of the top two teams in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Patrick Walsh added the other goal for the Remparts (20-4-3), who got 25 saves from Louis Domingue. Frederick Roy added two assists.

Zack Phillips had the only goal for Saint John (21-7-1). Mathieu Corbeil stopped 29 shots in defeat.

The Remparts and Sea Dogs are tied atop the QMJHL standings with 43 points apiece, although Quebec has played two fewer games.

Grigorenko opened the scoring at 4:29 of the second on the power play and doubled the Quebec lead at 9:28. The Russian right-winger completed the hat trick with his 23rd of the season at 9:57 of the third and Walsh made it 4-0 just 12 seconds later.

Phillips broke Domingue's shutout bid at 15:20 with his 15th of the campaign.
