EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) announced today Shirts Off Our Backs presented by Rogers will return to Rogers Place on December 14, 2018 when the Oilers take on the Philadelphia Flyers.
Fans will have the unique opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a signed Oilers orange jersey with net proceeds benefiting the EOCF and the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton. The lucky winners will collect their new jerseys from the corresponding Oilers players on-ice at the end of the game.
Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) Vice Chair Kevin Lowe and the Oilers Ladies return as Honorary Co-Chairs for the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton this season. "The work the Christmas Bureau does ensure that many Edmontonians in need have a festive meal to celebrate the holidays," said Lowe. "We are grateful that we have the opportunity to engage with Oilers fans through this initiative and give back to our community."
The Christmas Bureau expects to help more than 60,000 people in 20,000 families over the holidays this year.

"It is through the incredible support of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and Honorary Christmas Bureau Campaign Co-Chairs, Kevin Lowe and the Oilers Ladies, that groups like the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton are able to support families in need," said Christmas Bureau of Edmonton Executive Director Darlene Kowalchuk. "As an ensure, the EOCF are neighbours helping neighbours, families helping families. The gift of support is greater than one meal; it does have a lasting impact on families in our community."
On December 14, the EOCF and Oilers Ladies will be selling raffle tickets on the concourse of Rogers Place for the chance to win a signed Oilers jersey. Raffle tickets will be $5 each or $20 for five tickets.
In addition to the entire roster of jerseys up for grabs, fans who purchase five or more tickets will be entered to win a team-signed jersey courtesy of Rogers. To further support the great cause, Rogers is donating a second team-signed jersey that fans can enter to win by sharing a special social media post from the Edmonton Oilers. If the post receives more than 2,000 shares, Rogers will donate $2,000 to the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton. Watch for more information on this initiative on Twitter
