The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled defenseman Gustav Forsling (GOO-stahv FOHRZ-lihng) from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs and placed forward Marcus Kruger (KROO-guhr) on injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 9.

Forsling, 22, has skated in five games with Rockford this season, tallying two assists. He appeared in 41 games for the Blackhawks last season, recording 13 points (3G, 10A).
He also skated in 18 regular-season games with the IceHogs last year, notching five points (2G, 3A), and 13 playoff games with Rockford, tallying five points (1G, 4A). Kruger has appeared in 16 games for the Blackhawks this season, recording two goals. He has missed the last two games with a left leg injury.
The Blackhawks continue their 2018-19 regular-season schedule Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the United Center against the St. Louis Blues at 7 p.m. That game can be seen on NBCSN, streamed on nbcsports.com and the MyTeams by NBC Sports app and heard on WGN Radio.
