Reid steps up to stop 26 as Spokane stones the Thunderbirds 1-0 @NHL

SPOKANE, Wash. - With Dustin Tokarski in Ottawa for the world junior selection camp, James Reid stepped up to stop all 26 shots he faced as the Spokane Chiefs blanked the Seattle Thunderbirds 1-0 on Friday night in the Western Hockey League.

Jared Cowen scored a power-play goal in the first period for the Chiefs (20-9-0-3) and it was all Reid needed as he recorded his second shutout in only five starts this season.

Jacob DeSerres made 20 saves in net for Seattle (13-17-1-2).
