Regina scores two third-period goals in beating Kootenay 3-1 @NHLdotcom

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Rudolph Cerveny scored twice in the third as the Regina Pats beat the Kootenay Ice 3-1 in WHL action Friday.

Dustin Sylvester got his 29th of the season to open the scoring at 9:12 of the first period, giving the Ice a 1-0 lead.

Regina tied it with just 17 seconds left in the period when Brett Leffler broke in alone.

Cerveny then got the game-winner 4:04 into the final frame and added a late power-play goal with two seconds left.

Jeff Bosch stopped 26 of 27 shots to get the win while Kris Lazaruk turned aside 26 of 29 in taking the loss.
