Regina Pats rally with six goals in third period to stun Brandon Wheat Kings 6-4 @NHLdotcom

REGINA - The Regina Pats scored six third-period goals to steal a 6-4 victory from the Brandon Wheat Kings in Western Hockey league action Saturday night.

Chandler Stephenson lead the charge for Regina with a hat trick and an assist.

Also scoring for the Pats (34-24-7) were Lane Scheidl with a goal and two assists, Dyson Stevenson and Luke Fenske with a goal each and Jordan Weal with four assists.

Brandon (35-27-4) had a goal and an assist from Mike Ferland, Brenden Walker and Darian Dziurzynski. Alessio Bertaggia also had a goal while captain Mark Stone chipped in with two assists.

The Wheat Kings appeared to have the game in the bag when Dziurzynski scored a minute into the third to make it 4-0 and chase Pats goalie Matt Hewitt out of the game.

Instead, Regina stunned Brandon with a five-goal frenzy in a seven-minute span.

By the midway point of the period the Pats were up 5-4.

Stephenson then capped off his night with a shot into an empty net for the hat trick.

Adam Beukeboom replaced Hewitt in Regina's net and made seven saves. Corbin Boes meanwhile stopped 35 shots for the Wheat Kings.
