Ref Auger injured in Flyers win over Islanders @NHLdotcom
Referees Stephane Auger had to leave Thursday's game between the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders midway through the third period when he was hit in the face by a stick.

Auger was behind the Islanders' net when New York defenseman Andrew MacDonald hit a Flyers forward and had hit stick accidentally hit Auger in the face. Auger went down immediately and stayed down until his partner, Kevin Pollock, blew play dead.

Auger received medical attention on the ice before skating off and returned with three minutes to play in the third period.
