DENVER - Detroit right winger Marian Hossa missed the Red Wings' game against Colorado because of a sore neck and knee Wednesday night, a night after he slammed into the end boards in St. Louis and was carried off on a gurney.

He's listed as day to day.

Hossa, the team's goal leader with 34, went headfirst into the boards after a check by Roman Polak. The 30-year-old Hossa was hospitalized for observation, but accompanied the team to Colorado.
