The Detroit Red Wings scored twice in a 1:56 span of the second period to take a 2-1 lead against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday.

Mike Green scored 2:11 into the second period to tie the game before Justin Abdelkader scored at 4:07.

Nikita Kucherov gave Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead 6:23 into the first period with the first goal of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

They are playing Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
