Red Wings re-sign Quincey to two-year contract @NHLdotcom

Defenseman Kyle Quincey re-signed with the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday. It was a two-year contract; financial terms were not released but the Detroit Free Press reported Tuesday the total value was $8.5 million.

Quincey, 28, had four goals and nine assists in 82 regular-season games with the Red Wings last season, and two penalty minutes and nine shots on goal in five Stanley Cup Playoff games.

A 2003 fourth-round pick of the Red Wings (No. 132), Quincey has 23 goals and 111 points in 375 NHL games with the Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche.
