Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk said Thursday he is on schedule in his recovery from ankle surgery.
"Great News! Had a good doctor visit," Datsyuk wrote on his verified Twitter account. "... See you soon back in Detroit."
Datsyuk had surgery to repair ruptured tendons in his right ankle on June 26. Red Wings general manager Ken Holland told the Detroit Free Press that Datsyuk is expected to start skating in two weeks.
Datsyuk, 37, had 26 goals and 65 points in 63 games last season.
