Mrazek gets another chance vs. Blackhawks

CHICAGO --Petr Mrazek will start in net for the Detroit Red Wings against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Sunday.
Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill made the decision Saturday, but didn't make it public until Sunday. Mrazek will make his second straight start after allowing five goals on 33 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks at Joe Louis Arena on Wednesday.

Mrazek has overtaken Jimmy Howard as the No.1 starter, but has allowed five goals in three of his past six appearances. Howard has allowed three goals on 77 combined shots in his past three appearances.
"Petr's earned the No.1 spot, but I believe you need two guys ready," Blashill said. "I think Jimmy's played great the last number of games. It gives me great confidence to put [Howard] in the next chance we feel is the right time."
Blashill hinted that there could be more lineup changes. At practice the past two days, Brendan Smith skated in Alexey Marchenkos' spot and forward Teemu Pulkkinen was outside the top four lines. Smith has been a healthy scratch in four straight games.
Corey Crawford will start for Chicago, which will not have forward Brandon Mashinter because of illness. Richard Panik is slated to skate in Mashinter's spot at left wing on the fourth line.
Veteran defenseman Michal Rozsival will be back in the Blackhawks' lineup after being scratched the past two games. It's unclear who will be scratched to make room for Rozsival. Recently-acquired defenseman Christian Ehrhoff played in Rozsival's spot the past two games.
Blackhawks right wing Marian Hossa (lower-body injury) will not play but will travel for the upcoming two-game road trip at the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday and Dallas Stars on Friday.
