Red Deer Rebels beat Calgary Hitmen 4-2 in WHL acion @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - John Persson and Colton Mayor each had a goal and an assist Friday to lead the Red Deer Rebels to a 4-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen in the Western Hockey League.

Locke Muller and Cory Millette also scored for the Rebels (3-2-0), who were 0-2 on the road heading into the game.

Victor Rask and Brady Brassart replied for the Hitmen (1-3-0), who held a 1-0 lead in the first before the Rebels reeled off three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead into the third.

The Rebels went 2-for-7 on the power play, while the Hitmen failed to score on their three opportunities with the man advantage.

Red Deer goalie Patrik Bartosak made 32 saves to improve his record to 3-1, while Calgary netminder Brandon Glover stopped 19-of-23 shots he faced in a losing cause.
