Rebels offence leads way to 8-2 win over the Thunderbirds @NHLdotcom

RED DEER, Alta. - The Red Deer Rebels got two-goal performances from Cory Millette, Adam Kambeitz and Turner Elson in an 8-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in Western Hockey League action on Friday.

Mathew Dumba and John Persson also scored for Red Deer (10-4-1).

Burke Gallimore and Chance Lund replied for Seattle (5-8-0).

Rebels netminder Patrik Barsotak stopped 18 shots.

Thunderbirds starting goaltender Calvin Pickard was relieved by Daniel Cotton after Red Deer?s fifth goal at 3:36 of the second period and finished with 17 saves. Cotton blocked 22 shots the rest of the way.
